Rough dates and an idea are all we need to get started.
Why it matters
For many families in Burbank, Glendale and the San Fernando Valley, a trip to Armenia is not a vacation. It is a wedding in Yerevan, a grandmother’s birthday, a baptism, a summer with cousins or a long-awaited first visit to a homeland you have only heard about. The ticket matters more than the fare on a search page suggests.
Booking flights to Armenia from Los Angeles takes more care than most long-haul trips. There is no nonstop service from LAX to Yerevan’s Zvartnots International Airport, so every itinerary connects somewhere, usually in Europe or the Middle East. The right connection is the difference between an easy overnight and a missed flight with four suitcases. Ines Tours & Travel has been booking this route for Southern California families since 2004.

What we handle

Everything looked after, start to finish

01

Routings compared

We look at the connecting hubs available for your dates and weigh total travel time, layover length and how each airline handles delays, not just the lowest number on the screen.
02

Connections protected

We steer you away from tight transfers, separate tickets and self-transfer traps that leave you responsible when a first flight runs late.
03

Luggage rules decoded

Baggage allowances change between airlines on the same trip. We confirm what you can carry on every leg, which matters when you are bringing gifts for the whole family.
04

Family and group seats

Grandparents, children and cousins booked together, with names spelled exactly as they appear on each passport.
05

Multi-city trips

Add a stop in Paris, Dubai, Athens or Beirut on the way there or back, and make the long trip part of the holiday.
06

Changes when life changes

Plans shift. You call one person who already knows your booking instead of waiting on an airline hold line.
Good to know

When to book flights to Yerevan

Summer and the winter holidays are the busiest times to fly between Los Angeles and Armenia, because that is when families travel. If your dates are fixed around school breaks, a wedding or a holiday, book as early as you can. Shoulder months such as May, September and October are often easier for seats, and Armenia’s weather is at its best then. Tell us your window and we will show you what the dates really look like.

Choosing the right connection

A sensible layover is long enough to absorb a delay and short enough that it does not eat a day. Long-haul flights from LAX tend to arrive at European and Gulf hubs after a full night in the air, so we look at where you will be sitting, how far you will walk and whether bags are checked through to Yerevan. Travelers with elderly parents or small children often do better with a slightly longer connection and a calmer airport.

Documents before you fly

Check that every passport is valid well beyond your return date and that each ticket matches the passport exactly. Entry requirements can change, and they vary by citizenship, so we point you to the current official guidance before you travel. If anyone in your family holds a different passport from the rest of the group, tell us early so we can plan around it.

Make it more than a flight

Once you are in Armenia, the country is small enough to see a great deal in a week: Garni and Geghard, Lake Sevan, Khor Virap with Mount Ararat behind it, and the Tatev monastery in the south. If you would like hotels, a driver or a full itinerary alongside your flights, our custom itinerary service builds it day by day.
