Burbank, LAX or somewhere else?

Living near Hollywood Burbank Airport is a real advantage for short domestic trips, especially now that its new terminal is open: smaller crowds and a shorter drive. For most international travel you will leave from LAX, which has far more long-haul service. Sometimes a short hop from Burbank connecting to a long-haul flight elsewhere is the better answer. We check both before recommending either.

What a cheap fare can hide

The lowest price often leaves out checked bags, seat selection and changes. On a family trip those extras can overtake a fuller fare. We compare the total cost of the trip you are actually taking, then explain the trade-offs so you can decide.
